Rev Michael Cofer

Pastor Michael Cofer was born in Houston, Texas and baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran in Pasadena. After graduating from Lutheran South Academy, he attended Concordia Texas where he majored in Communications and Biblical Languages. At Concordia, he met his beloved Alisha and they were married shortly after graduation.

Michael attended seminary at Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis, and was honored to serve King of Kings in Round Rock, Texas for his vicarage. After finishing his fourth year at the seminary, he received the call to serve as at Hope Lutheran Church in Virginia Beach.

Pastor Cofer served that congregation for 10 years as Associate Pastor (including 2 years as sole pastor during a call process). During his time there, God blessed Michael and Alisha with their son.

In 2018, Trinity Lutheran San Angelo extended a call to serve their congregation with the specific emphasis on reaching out to the people who do not have a church home yet. "
