Lutheran church in san angelo tx

Church History

The first services of Trinity Lutheran Congregation of San Angelo were held in September 1926 in the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Lott at 1221 W. Harris St. with just a few families in attendance.

Formal organization of our congregation was established on January 2, 1927. Since that time, by the grace and blessings of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have now grown to 260 families totaling 425 members.

We are committed to sharing the changeless Gospel of Jesus Christ to our ever-changing world.

We strive for this through our worship services, Bible studies, and numerous ministries, however; our Christian school is by far, our top outreach focus as we educate over 200 children in our school daily.

It all began 1951 when our Christian school opened with one Kindergarten class. A grade was added every year thereafter completing our elementary school. Continued growth enabled us to offer middle school education, and now 70 years later, we are blessed to provide a quality Christian education to children as young as18 months all the way through 12th grade!

WORSHIP

Proclaiming God's Word from the Bible in a way that is easy to understand and relatable to current daily life in the real world, is first and foremost.

BIBLE STUDY

Regular Bible study is taught not only on Sundays, but during the week to help accommodate the needs of all. We emphasize the need and benefits of Bible study for everyone.

PASTORAL CARE

We believe our pastor is called by God to serve as our Shepherd. As our Shepherd, he guides us along our spiritual journey. He ministers to our needs in times of sickness, health, sadness, weakness, loneliness, despair, sinfulness, happiness, and joy to the best of his ability.

OUTREACH

Through various ministries and board committees, we provide multiple opportunities for everyone to serve and reach out to those who are in need of knowing our Savior as well as serving the needs of our neighbors.

FAMILY

We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. We try to love and forgive everyone as Christ has commanded us to do. We provide fellowship opportunities to encourage everyone to connect with others.

YOUTH

We provide youth activities to engage the youth to be involved in church activities and participate in outreach ministries.
